About Ashley

Ashley Rice is a professional pool player competing on the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Tour, specializing in 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, she is now based in Atlanta, Georgia, where she trains and competes nationally. Ashley began playing as a child on the pool table at her grandparents’ house, and what started as a casual pastime grew into a lifelong pursuit of the game. Since turning professional in 2018, she has steadily built her presence on the professional circuit.

Ashley has competed on the world stage, including the 2024 World 10-Ball Championship and the 2025 World 8-Ball and 9-Ball Championships, and has reached a career-high world ranking of 13th. Known for a tactical playing style with finesse, she trains with her husband, Raymond Born, a lifelong player and PBIA instructor whom she met in Atlanta. Ashley is sponsored by The Pool Turtle: Bar and Gaming Cove in Decatur, Georgia, where she and Ray give private lessons and remain active in the billiards community while competing on the WPBA tour.
